About the Potter

The Name "Oakleaf"

We are Roy and Sandi Yoder.

The studio, or pottery shop, is located on our property just outside of  Bally, Pennsylvania -- home since 1981.  The location overlooks Butter Valley amidst the surrounding hills of Berks County.

Roy is originally from this immediate area of PA and Sandi is from Fairview, Michigan.  Roy is the potter who does most of the pottery work in the shop pictured to the right. Sandi, takes care of the bookkeeping and assists with some jobs in the shop. We've been doing pottery full-time since January of 1999.

Personal interests include biking on Rails to Trails bike trails; we've traveled to Europe to visit Sandi's sister and family in Petten, Netherlands; and we enjoy going to the shore at Cape May, NJ, especially in the Fall and Spring.  

As members of Bally Mennonite Church we believe in justice, integrity and compassion in all we do which results in making life better for everyone! This includes conducting all business and business contacts as we would want to be treated, with honesty, respect and integrity.
